Or alternatively, you can also just drop by on our Trucks Advisor website and see what’s up! But enough fooling around and let’s get down to business, here’s a deeper look at what could be your company’s next utility vehicle: the 2015 Foton Tunland Dual Cab.
2015 Foton Tunland: Key Features
Strong diesel engine
All Foton Tunland vehicles are powered by the trusted and reliable 2.8 litre Cummins diesel engine. It’s understandable if you’re not that much familiar with the brand, Cummins is after all, more prominent with truckers and bus operators since most of their vehicles are powered by that said engine. But that’s the catch, these engines are made for the rough road.
Ergonomic interior design
The cabin of the Tunland dual cab is nicely designed with ample space, legroom, and headroom for superior comfort not only for its driver, but also fro the passengers. Then aside for a couple of oddly looking control buttons, the rest of the dashboard remain very accessible and easy to distinguish. Finally, the leather trim on the seats and the steering wheel give out a premium look and feel to the cab’s interior.
Tunland is one of the largest utes available in the market, and that size definitely pays off when it comes to the vehicle’s market-standard payload capacity and equally impressive rpm and torque. The engine also delivered a very solid and steady performance during our tests. The only minor struggle came when the vehicle faced a steep climb uphill.
The Tunland also showed some really good upside when it comes to its fuel economy. In fact, the light commercial ute showcased a pretty cool average of 8.4 litres per 100 km. This is more impressive if you consider the length and the size of the vehicle, which is a bit bigger than most competitors.
Steady and easy to operate
During our run, the Tunland also displayed great balance on the road and off-track. The steering also seemed much quicker than what you’d expect from its size and length, so that’s pretty sweet as well. Regarding the controls, the buttons are very easy to distinguish and comfortably accessible, allowing a much more convenient driving experience than other utes in the market.

2015 Foton Tunland: The Verdict
In recent years, Foton have really made a strong effort to branch out their range of commercial vehicles, and so far, the company have done really well with its current line of utility vehicles and trucks. The 2015 Foton Tunland Dual Cab adds another dimension to that, with a ute that’s bigger in size, but economically great when balancing fuel efficiency and performance. The boost in size helped the interior’s more polished and spacious design, which should make the Tunland a pretty good off-road vehicle as well for the gang or for the family. All in all, the minor hiccups and average features of the vehicle was still outweighed by its practical and performance-centric overall build. It’s a great choice to consider, especially when the business in dire need of a steady and reliable ute that could last for the long haul.
