Review: Iveco DAILY MY14-35S Van
Iveco DAILY MY14-35S Van: The Introduction
Light commercial vehicles are one of the most versatile vehicles that you can ever have. Because aside from the fact that you can use it for personal trips, you can also utilise it for small-time businesses. On the market today, you can actually find a vast selection of these LCVs. But, if you want something that is both reliable and ergonomic, then I suggest you walk right towards the Iveco brand.
Specifically, Iveco is one of the biggest names when it comes to dependable light commercial vehicles. They have a long list of top-selling models under their portfolio, but perhaps the particular one that has garnered my interest is their DAILY MY14-35S. I’ll tell you why by running down everything about this van, including its features and advantages. Let’s begin.
Iveco DAILY MY14-35S Van: Key Features
The DAILY MY14-35S is not just your typical van. Based on our road test experience, I can say that it’s mainly designed for in-city deliveries. Inside it is an Iveco FIA, which is a 4-stroke diesel engine with direct injection and turbocharger. Though according to the local dealer from where we got the van, you can also request for an optional Iveco FIC engine. This is also a 4-stroke diesel motor with direct engine and intercooler but with an additional Variable Geometry Turbocharger. The FIA can produce up to 126 HP @ 3000-3600 rpm, while the FIC can punch out 170 HP @ 2900-3500 rpm.
In terms of transmission, the MY14-35S incorporates a Hi-Matic gearbox. This is an industry-leading transmission, which is the reason why we were able to experience absolute driving pressure during our test.
Like I’ve said, the DAILY MY14-35S is very ideal for small businesses with a lot of short-distance deliveries to do. And that’s not only because of its powerful engine and transmission. Its body is a major reason, too. To be exact, the van brings a large sliding door. This, along with the low rear platform, makes it easier for you to load and unload materials even in confined areas. Additionally, both of its floor and sides come with load lashing rings to keep your goods safe and secure.
Over the years, the Iveco DAILY MY14-35S has undergone a series of design improvements. The version that we have tested, particularly, has a lowered driver’s seat for easier cabin access. It has increased windscreen height as well, which gave us that nice visibility of the highways ahead. The dashboard was completely redesigned, too. It now gets a more ergonomic placement of controls and dials.
What makes this van so much better is the fact that it also comes with optional accessories. Aside from the standard ones that I’ve mentioned, you can also request to add an Electronic Stability Programme that consists of an ASR and a hydraulic brake assist, to name a few. Dual sliding doors can also be requested.

Iveco DAILY MY14-35S Van: The Verdict
Summing it all up, the Iveco DAILY MY14-35S has a host of excellent features and advantages. And these are the reasons why it is one of those light commercial vehicles that has garnered my interest. Personally, what I loved about it is that (so far) it has the largest loading capacity among all the van that I have encountered. This makes it the perfect choice if you’re thinking of putting up a small retail business of your own. I also liked the fact that it brings an ergonomic design. With its adjustable seat and car-like driveability, you’re sure to keep your environment as stress-free and comfortable as possible.
