Review: 2011 Hyundai iLoad Van
2011 Hyundai iLoad Van: The Introduction
So, just recently, I got a message from our reader asking if I know a light commercial vehicle that is both reliable and practical. And only one model came to my mind. That’s the iLoad van from Hyundai. We actually had the chance to test drive it a couple of weeks ago with the help of a local dealer, and I admit, I was indeed impressed with its cargo room and performance when on the road. This is only for starters and later on, I even learned that it is currently one of the best-selling LCV models on the Australian market. I am eager to tell you more about it so I’m making it the subject of today’s review. Let’s see if it is something that you can consider for your delivery service business.
2011 Hyundai iLoad Van: Key Features
Engine and transmission
Though not the latest version, the 2011 Hyundai iLoad is still a highly functional van that you can count on to get any delivery task done. I can say this because during the team’s road test, the vehicle’s engine and transmission did a pretty good job. The 2.5 litre turbo diesel motor that comes along with it allowed us to drive for long hours and transport materials to far locations. Its transmission, meanwhile, gave us that smooth maneuverability when on bumpy roads and busy highways. What we tested, before I forget to share, was the iLoad model with the 5-speed automatic gearbox. Though according to the dealer, a 6-speed manual transmission is as well available.
As mentioned above, one of the things that impressed me is iLoad’s huge cargo room. Basically, its compartment boasts plenty space for two pallets and for almost all of your delivery items or consumer goods. This makes the Hyundai van perfect for trade service businesses and for whatever you may be transporting. Furthermore, the vehicle also sports twin swing doors for easy loading and unloading of materials, and a vinyl flooring across the cargo area to help protect the interior.
Now speaking of the interior, Hyundai’s 3-seater iLoad brings a variety of features that provide utmost comfort to drivers. These include the height adjustable seats, dual glove box compartments, and power mirrors and windows. An air conditioning system and dual airbags come as standard, too. For entertainment, meanwhile, the iLoad incorporates a high quality audio system. This has a Bluetooth connectivity and is compatible with most players and devices, including iPod® and Apple CarPlay®.
At first look, what you’ll probably notice on this light commercial vehicle is its semi bonneted design. I actually love this feature because it positions the driver far from the windscreen and behind the engine. Therefore, providing a quieter drive and great crash protection. The iLoad gets dual sliding doors, too, for hassle-free entry and exit from the cab, and a rear glass demister with wiper.
Other genuine accessories that comes with this 2011 version include a full technician kit, an alloy nudge bar, rear park assist module, front park assist module, and painted park assist sensors.

2011 Hyundai iLoad Van: The Verdict
These features and capabilities I’ve detailed above just proved why the Hyundai iLoad van has become one of the best-selling light commercial vehicles here in the country. Its accommodating cargo compartment coupled with its excellent driveline make it perfect for every type of business. Indeed, it’s a set of wheels that is both reliable and practical. I personally love its ergonomically-designed cabin, innovative multimedia features, and most especially, its semi bonneted look. I bet it will be a good fit not just for delivery and trade applications, but also for recreation activities, such as camping and mountain bike riding.
